A stump is defined as the lower portion of the tree up above surface to a maximum height of 12 inches (1 foot) that remains on the ground after the tree as been cut down or felled.

        Any higher than the 12 inches of the stump is part of the trunk and excessive trunk requires cutting into pieces before stump removal is started.
 

        Trunk removal requires added fees based on the height and width of the trunk.
